Surat: City based young entrepreneur Viral Sudhirbhai Desai, who has receivedseveral awards for exemplary work in the field of environment & energy conservation, has launched a mission to make Udhana Railway Station as India’s first green railway station under his ‘Clean India-Green India’ initiative. As a result of this initiative, Udahana railway station will soon become green and pollution free just like ChhatrapatiShivaji terminus of Mumbai. Viral Desai has received support and assistance from Chhadyo and Archroma organisations for the implementation of project. On the other hand station director C.R. Garuda has also started taking necessary approvals for project implementation.
To make Udhana railway station clean and pollution free, Viral Desai has installed Oxygen bomber and over 1700 air purifying plants were planted at the station. Also, walls have been painted with a message of save environment.Moreover a memorial has been built as a tribute to the soldiers martyred during Pulwama attack and tree planted in the name of martyrs to spread message of environment protection.
It is worth to mention that Viral Desai has decorated his car with green grass so others are also inspired to go green.Commenting on this initiative Viral Desai said that for the past several years he has been working for the environment and energy protection.Also, he is trying to awaregovernment and the citizens of the country also regarding environment issues. Viral Desai and his organization‘Hearts at Work Foundation’ are also working to encourage people for tree plantation and environment protection regularly. He added that the environment is seriously affected due to tree cutting. It is our responsibility to re-energize this earth.Viral Desai says that this campaign has been started with a vision of Go Green.
Under Viral Desai’s Clean India, Green India initiative, over 23000 trees and 3800 tree guards have been distributed. Credit of making Udhna railway station as country’s first green railway station goes to Green Man Viral Desai.
